Wilson's Prairie View Farms, Inc. Hog Genetics, Research & Biosecurity
The Wilsons were first generation immigrants from Scotland, settling in Walworth County, WI in the 1870’s. They purchased the Prairie View Farm, near Burlington, WI where they raised Western lambs, sometimes feeding 8,000 to 10,000.
In 1943, their grandson Ralph Wilson bought his first Hampshire hogs. He later added Yorkshire, Landrace, Durocs and Crosses to the herd. Along with his wife, Jeanette Niles Wilson, and children Julie, Scott and Jan, the family continued to raise prize-winning hogs on their 500 acre farm.
Ralph’s son, Scott currently manages the operations of Wilson’s Prairie View Farm along with his children. Scott and his family have been providing high health SPF swine for more than 35 years.
Wilson’s Prairie View Farms, Inc. strives to raise the highest quality, healthy pigs for our customers, research and genetics.
Our family and employees aim to produce high health pigs with robust genetics to contribute to maintaining the vitality of the hog industry in the Midwest and beyond.
